Being a vego isn't all bad

I was standing around a morning tea table yesterday and again was being quizzed by carnivores as to why I was a vego?
How come no one ever asked me why I ate meat when I used to?
Is it become I used to be normal, now that I do something different people want to know why? Am I now abnormal because I don't eat meat?
Anyway, I replied with the reason, I did it for health.
This reply was met with silence.
I broke it with a question, "How come you eat meat?"
I got the usual response, because it tastes so good. I said I agree meat does taste good, chicken tastes awesome.
They said well why don't you eat it, again I replied with - health...
They wanted to know what I meant by my answer but it's hard to explain it to people who enjoy eating meat so much. Some people just don't want to hear the answer.
So I ask them this.
Do you really want to know the absolute truth as to why I don't eat meat?
They think about it for some time and reply with mmm...not really...
I then think of the movie - A Few Good Men, when Tom Cruise is questioning Jack Nicholson; if you know it yell it out loud with me...
